I have two decades of experience behind the camera fueled by a personal desire to hone my craft. What does that mean? I’m getting to do what I love to do, which makes me passionate and elevates my personal standards. My style of photography has evolved organically and methodically with constant learning and pushing myself. While my work ranges from soft and soulful lighting to hard and contrasty shadows, my aim is to capture the personality of the subject I am photographing regardless of whether it is a portrait, street scene or commercial project.

I was taught photography when I was a kid by my granddad, and it was the first form of self-motivated art that I practiced. The pictures I took were of the usual items: the cat, a street lamp, the car in the garage, etc. I was intrigued by photography, but my inability to travel, explore, and acquire the resources necessary to learn and experiment put a damper on things. After college I was attracted to a simpler lifestyle which has translated into more authentic images that let the true hero of the photograph emerge.
